Apr '23 — Current Actuator Digital Software Developer

  • Took ownership of a legacy eCommerce web application that provides government recognized training and certification. Fixed longstanding bugs, added features, and wrote comprehensive documentation in sprint cycles that were on time and under budget. Tech stack: Python Flask, SQLAlchemy, Django, Celery, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Designed and developed On Point website for Actuator Digital's debut game development project.

Nov '21 — Dec '22 Swyftx Application Support Engineer

  • Scoped, created, and administrated Jira project management solutions across all business units.
  • Delivered solutions that enabled measurement of key metrics, maintaining SLA's, and auditing data for ISO27001 accreditation.
  • Proactively identified opportunities to automate processes and improve IT security at every opportunity.

Dec '17 — Nov '21 Tom Dawson Website Design Owner Operator

  • Designed, developed, hosted, and supported websites with a wide range of aesthetics and functionalities, including e-Commerce websites. Sites were built with client independence in mind by making use of the Divi visual builder theme on WordPress with WooCommerce for shop functionality.
  • Maintained a 5-star rating on Google Business Listing by providing a high level of technical and customer support to a client-base of over 50 individuals and small/medium-sized businesses.
  • This experience cemented my ability to self-direct technical projects from start to finish while managing expectations with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Designed and developed a Portfolio site to present and sell my services.

  • Technical support officer working on level 1 and 2 IT support issues for MSP and residential clients. Developed a strong skill set for troubleshooting issues with software and hardware.

  • Designed and developed eCommerce website using Wordpress/WooCommerce for storefront.
  • Specialised configuration for unique products with high demand to be previewed ahead of availability.
  • Store built to handle spikes of traffic during sale launches and calculate regional shipping and availability when required.
